Why is the media so harsh on Tesla?

Everyday, there seems to be a stream of negative media headlines on Tesla. This has made it difficult for me to stay invested in Tesla and has frankly also dampened my enthusiasm. On the other hand, Tesla has clearly made incredible accomplishments and customers swear by the product. Why is this happening?
