Why doesn't the market recognize Tesla's leadership in autonomous driving?

There appears to be very few people other than Tesla's management team and shareholders that believe in Tesla's leadership in autonomous driving, even though Tesla Autopilot & Full-Self Driving features are clearly far better than what is available in other cars. How can this discrepancy be explained?
